Elk Hunting Adventures -- I spent six straight days looking for elk on the Olympic Peninsula. While my efforts were unsuccessful, I explored several places I'd never been.

I saw two small herds, but no legal bulls. One of the herds I saw was over five miles by foot from where I parked, so I was actually lucky there wasn't a legal bull in the bunch. If there had been, I would've been working for hours in the dark by myself!
