| My pops and I headed for Mount Wow for our annual Father's Day hike (a day early). The normal route is via Lake Allen, but having been there multiple times, we opted for a more direct route from the Copper Creek road. After heading straight up through some nice stands of fir we broke out in the alpine. From the last bump below the summit, we saw three goats up top. When you reach the summit, it's obvious where the name "Mount Wow" came from -- the views of Mt. Rainier are awesome, and to the south we could see Adams, Hood and Helens. To the north was Gobbler's Knob, to the south was High Rock Lookout, and to the southeast was the Tatoosh Range and Goat Rocks.
