Olympic Peninsula

Another Creek -- I spent an afternoon exploring another seldom visited stream on the Peninsula. I made my way up a small canyon looking for waterfalls, but only found several small cascades. I spent a fair amount of time cursing the second growth, some of which had been pre-commercial thinned -- which means they cut a lot of the smaller trees and just leave them on the ground. It's a pain to walk through, especially in steep areas. The creek itself was lovely though, despite the fact that they logged all the way to the bank on both sides back in the 60's or 70's.
