My friend Jon and I day-hiked up the Sams River for several miles. I wanted to see if I could wade upstream through a canyon to reach a pair of little waterfalls that I'd seen on a previous trip. The rocks were slippery, and the last two pools were chest deep, but I made it! I'm still not sure, but there might be a bigger falls downriver. Round three to follow in 2008!
