| | I had a week off from work and spent it exploring some new places on the western side of the Olympics. First, I went 15 miles up the Queets - the road is washed out 6 miles prior to the trailhead, so I was roughly 9 miles up the trail. It started raining the first night and didn't slow the next day, so I hiked all the way out on day three, somewhat worried about the ford if the rain continued. But of course, as soon as I got out of the woods, the rain stopped. The next few days I spent doing some short day hikes, including Rialto Beach, Kloochman Rock, and the South Fork Hoh.
