My dad and I hiked up the Tatoosh Trail #161 to the Tatoosh Lakes and camped high on the ridge. We had a wonderful view of the Tatoosh Range (Chutla, Plummer, Pinnacle, Unicorn) with Rainier as a backdrop. Tatoosh Lakes were snow-free and very cold, but the bugs down there were nasty! The sunset had a deep red hue, probably something to do with the haze from forest fires in eastern Washington.
