Logging Road Blues -- Took a walk up in the Clearwater drainage (west side of Olympic Peninsula) to test out a new pair of boots. I parked at the gate on DNR Road C-3100, walked up to Yahoo Lake, then another few miles -- figuring I'd get up to Kloochman Rock and the clouds would break. Well, I was almost to Kloochman Rock, and the clouds started dumping rain, hail, and a few snowflakes. So I turned around less than a half mile from Kloochman. Oh yeah, and the boots gave me some nice blisters...
