Wild Weasel

At nearly 7,000 feet elevation in the Cascade mountains, this cute but wild weasel was on the hunt for lunch. His quarry, an American Pika, had just disappeared into its underground domain with a "meep". After ten minutes spent frantically searching among the rocks, the weasel left empty-handed and the pika was the winner in this round of life-and-death hide-and-seek.
